Sydney Johnson, a junior at UCLA, won Group B of the women's heptathlon with a lifetime-best 5,514 points at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University's Cougar Stadium in Azusa, Calif. Johnson won the 200 meters in 24.72 seconds and prevailed in the long jump with a leap of 19-9.50 (6.03m), in addition to finishing in the top two in five of the seven events. She also improved from a 5,075-point effort March 8-9 at UC Santa Barbara.
